People think we have so much time to make a difference.
“That heartbreak won’t last because we have 7.5 billion people in the world, and (hopefully) 80 years to find that ‘other half’ if this doesn’t workout.”

 That’s what the tell themselves when they’ve smacked rock bottom and split their heart open. When that once burning love for a person, becomes a doorway to a better excuse to save them from the realization there may never be another. What they don’t realize is that when the end comes, you can reflect on the past and count on one hand, probably less, the people who made you feel that way.
Our lives are a timeline of events that are based on the choices we make. Time doesn’t make our choices for us, it only gives room for pausing before we make our choice.
And time flies. So don’t pause. You want something, fight for it. You have one life, and even if you and that person don’t ever make it, at least you know you fought for what you wanted despite what everyone else said. It’s not a waste. It may be tough but it’s not a waste.
